The Flute of Death
This was written by Semic back in the late 70s (1979) by Donne Avenell and Kari Leppanen. It was Avenells sixth Phantom story and Leppanens third Phantom story. Another interesting note to be reminded of is that this was drawed for black & white publishing while these days Semic/ Egmont publish the Phantom comics in colour. Frew publishes all Phantom comics in B&W.
The difference between the later stories and these ‘golden oldies’ is great and this story looks good while when the newer stories look tacky.
Another thing that I need to blog on is that I have just recently subscribed to a years subscription and not only do I save myself $13 each year but its so much easier getting the comic delivered to my door step rather than going to a newsagent.
