What is RSS about?
What is RSS all about? I am sure most people have heard about it at some stage and maybe have wondered what is it all about. Basically it is a tool that allows you to get regular updates from a site etc onto your browser or other location. This can be handy as it saves you having to go to the website to read their latest blog entry, news entry etc. Some browsers like Firefox has an inbuilt rss feader while you can use a program on your computer or an online feeder like google’s reader.

My biggest problem about starting to use RSS, was to find a good light weight RSS manager that controlled and managed my feeds online rather than on the computer. I switch between computers at work and home and it is a benefit to use the one solution online so I do not have to go through what I have or not read. The best solution I found would be google’s reader, and it is a plus if you already have a gmail account.
