Frew 1470 - Return of the Unknown Commander pt1

Frew 1470
The situation is that the new president is blaming and after the Jungle Patrol to be disbanded. The daughter of Dogai Singh is aiming for a new era for the Singh Brotherhood and setting up political unrest among Bengalla and using the Phantom as a pawn to get rid of her rivals of the Singh leadership.
This all leads to a very interesting and intriguing story series which shapes to throw the safe and lately boring Phantoms world upside down. The last time this happened was with the promising but lacking Year one series and Grim Reaper series. The only time the Phantoms world has been shaken upside down successfully was the Luaga -v- Lubanga -v- Phantom saga that lasted years.
Claes Reimerthi’s script is tight, fast paced and enjoyable, this first part sets up the story nicely with the introduction to the situation. I hope it does not get rushed and is given time to be fleshed out. However the same cannot be said about the artwork. I personally do not like Joan Boix’s work in a Frew cover. I have been told that it looks nice in colour but from a Frews version it lacks and looks empty and hallow.
Overall I would rate it as GOOD. Close to an EXCELLENT but I simply cannot with Boix’s drawings like that. One of these I will have to include an example of his artwork in colour and black and white.
