I have read this before but with the increase of spiritual activity in our church and the ever prompting from God to increase my knowledge in the healing and spiritual area, I re-read this book by Selwyn Hughes (Also wrote “God Wants You Whole“).

In his book “God Wants You Whole” he talks about firstly his experience of being healed from an “incurable disease” and getting healed with the knowledge that God wants him and us to be whole and does not want us to be sick. Following this he gained knowledge through scripture, revelation and experience on just how God indeed wants us whole.

The thing that was interesting about this book was his points that there is more to healing than just healing the physical outbreak of the sickness. To me this is the most important thing, as a doctor can only give medicine to mask the problem but with Jesus and us (with the power of the spirit), we can actually heal and solve the inner problem. With this we can receive wholeness through God physically and mentally.

The book also focuses on reasons on why we do not get healed, how to achieve healing and also about mental conditions that effect us that are serious and do need attention to be healed.

At the moment after reading this great book that I would recommend to anyone who has a passing interest in healing, is a Pastor and if your being affected in sickness some how. Now after finishing this book I am reading a book called “None of these Diseases” and how if we followed the law written in Leviticus a lot of the sicknesses like black plaque and cervix cancer would not have caused such a great killing rate. A review will follow when I have read it.
