Phantom article & New Phantom Blog

Article about Phantom
Article about Phantom
Two new Phantom news today:

First is a Phantom article that my mum found in a magazine and unfortunately I do not know what magazine so if you can help. Please do. I am also assuming that this article is in reference to the latest 1500th issue by Frew and also a WA magazine with the reference of Perths comic book shop “Quality Comics“.

The second bit of news is about a new Phantom blog that has been created by some Indrajal Comic phans, from previous memories they had a website before but this is the new and improved version which is located over at http://indrajal-comics.blogspot.com/ If you do go over, please be aware that it is illegal scans of comics but do not let that spoil the experience of reading classic and almost unedited Phantom comics online. Happy reading…

dear friend
thanx for advertising my site here. I would like to tell u that technically publishing scans of Indrajals are not illegal because..

1 I own the comics I publish
2 Times of India has stopped the publication 17 years ago. So these comics are not available easily in the market as frew issues
3 There is nowhere written that one should not make scans of these comics
4 I DO NOT gain anything by publishing these comics
5 Last and most important, thousands of Indrajal fans in India or in the world can’t read the comics because the company is not publishing it???? then what about those 805 copies over the span of 25 years? who will preserve them?

I request you to remove the illegal word from your post

Regards

Hi

First of, you own the single copy of a book that you have, not the right to publish anything from it.
Scanning for private use to make reading copies is allowed, and they may also be shared (not distributed) privately. Everything else is stronly forbidden.

But who cares, not me?? It is OK that Germ tells about it to warn the few who do care!!

@chandoba - Like Ivan points out it is ‘illegal’ and while O personally do not care as I enjoy reading Phantom illegal or not some people may. That is why I made the point to cover myself in case people did not know and wanted to blame me.

As far as I can say, all power to you and lets hope that some lost phans come back to the fold due to yours and others scanned Phantom comics…
