Simpsons Movie review

Simpson's
What was classic
Like most TV episodes Simpson’s had several cleaver moments:
- When Homer was getting knocked around in between a rock and an Inn called “A Hard Place”.
- Traveling to Alaska and he does not like the scenery so he puts up the poster on the windscreen.
- When Milhouse sells out off his beliefs for the benefit of Lisa.
- Homer tells us viewers how silly we are paying for something that is shown for free on TV.
- Homer’s antitics with the pig and his song “spider pig”.
- End credits with Homer looking at them and Maggie’s first word.
What was not
Apart from the obvious normal Simpson’s (mainly Homer) disrespect for church, I was disgusted with showing Barts privates. I thought it was cleaver how they always hid his parts by placed objects but it ruined the moment when they let his parts show for that little moment.
What I enjoyed
Apart from the classic moments I listed above I did enjoy how Flanders was shown, as a Christian I sometimes do not like how he is shown as an idiot. In this he is portrayed as a true Christian, loving, caring and reaching out to his neighbours when needed like to Bart being a father figure and placing the plank to help the Simpson’s family to escape the riot.
Homer an absolute idiot became a hero and gained respect to his family, wife and Springfield after fixing his stuff ups which was good. The animations, shading and background detail was amazing.
Overall thoughts
Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I did have a good laugh and would recommend it ( Can pre-buy hear). Although the TV series has been on the downward side for a while , this movie was enjoyable and a lot better than most new Simpson episodes. I wonder if a sequal would happen, I hope so..
