WordPress 2.5, one step closer to a CMS
Back in November last year I raised some issues I have with WordPress as a Content Management System. Last week I was allowed to have a sneak peak at the new WordPress 2.5 dashboard and boy was I impressed.
I have two main grips about WordPress. One) Navigation limitation and Two) the dashboard/ admin area and now 2.5 has totally revamped the whole dashboard, now that is cool! Now to fix the navigation problems!!

The best I have read explaining and detailing ALL the changes of WordPress 2.5 is the OptiNiche blog so head over to WordPress 2.5 Revealed and Compared to Version 2.3.x. Thanks to Teli who wrote such a detailed comparison.

Also head over to this login page to have a look yourself at the dashboard (username: admin and password: demo), thanks for this goes to Chris Johnston.

Thankfully, some of the limitations regarding navigation will also be resolved. To be honest, I don’t care much for the change of interface, as far as aethetics, it’s functionality and speed which is the current issue imo.
