South Bristol artist Sally Loughridge returns this year to show recent original landscape and seascape paintings through September at Archipelago Arts and Crafts Gallery, the Island Institute store at 386 Main Street, Rockland.

A retired psychologist and year-round resident of Maine for more than 23 years, Loughridge never tires of the state’s natural beauty, rhythms and mystery, which inspire her awe and awaken her senses and emotions. This resonance and connection with nature, the artist says, is “both an uplifting and stabilizing element in these difficult times,” according to a press release from Loughridge.

Loughridge has exhibited his works for many years at Archipelago, home to unique artwork, crafts and original designs representing the best of the islands and the Maine coast.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

She also exhibits extensively throughout the MidCoast in galleries and juried and invitational shows. For more information about his works, the show or Archipelago, call 207-596-0701.
